Catalina was a parrot that lived in the beautiful, lush green yard of Juan Pan, a friend I met in my travels that lived in Costa Rica. She was a beautiful bird that we actually were not sure if she was a she or he. She would sit in the yard and had a special bond with Juan Pan. I spent many days with this bird and decided to capture her. What is special is that a lot of my photo work is captured on a prime lens - meaning I am the zoom - so my proximity to her here was my literal proximity on a 35mm lens and not utilizing any additional zoom. All prints include shipping costs.
